WiFi Salon provides WiFi services for media and technology promotions on the 17 locations of its parkwifi network, and at other venues throughout the city where it can deliver wireless broadband services.

WiFi Salon will work with you to determine what the wireless requirements are for your event, in terms of bandwidth and coverage. Our mission is to build public environments for broadband mobile media — in parks, in neighborhoods, in business districts. Our events are showcases for the latest in wireless media and technology.

Planning and Building Community Hot Zones

WiFi Salon sees a future for community WiFi. We firmly believe that as more people own WiFi enabled devices, tablets, handsets, etc., community WiFi will become ever more viable. The networks are getting there, the devices are coming, and so are the possibilities for location-based services.

WiFi Salon is eager then to speak to any NYC-based BID, Chamber of Commerce, or any non-profit dedicated to community and economic development about determining where WiFi would potentially make sense in their community. WiFi Salon’s mission is develop a model for community WiFi that is sustainable and scalable. We believe WiFi is “the internet, made local.”
